01. The minimum required number of persons to register a company
Incorporated company
If the shareholder and the corporate representative are the same person
The company requires an independent auditor.
If the shareholder and the corporate representative are not the same person
The company does not require an independent auditor.
If the shareholder is a company
The company only requires a corporate representative.
Limited Liabilty Company
The corporation only requires one person and the shareholder can also act as the corporate representative.
02. FDI(Foreign Direct Investment)

Capital
- · A minimum investment of 100 million KRW, roughly 9,0000 USD, must be transferred from overseas to Korea.

Requested
Materials
- · Individual shareholders must bring a valid photo ID or a copy of their passport
- · If the shareholder is a domestic or foreign corporation, a business license and a copy of the passport belonging to the corporation’s legal representative is required.

The legal corporate representative for Korean companies must apply for a Korean visa with the exception of those whose home countries have a visa waiver agreement with Korea.
